Hexham is a market town and civil parish in Northumberland, England, south of the River Tyne, and was the administrative centre for the Tynedale district from 1974 to 2009. Kick off your visit on the 20th (Thu): take an in-depth tour of Vindolanda, then steep yourself in history at Housesteads Fort and Museum - Hadrian's Wall, then go for a walk through Hadrian's Wall, and finally look for all kinds of wild species at Falconry Days.
