Aquaria KLCC, Kuala Lumpur

Visit Aquaria KLCC, an aquarium located under the thriving city center. Opened in 2005, this state of the art attraction occupies two levels and features a 90 m (300 ft) underwater tunnel where you're surrounded on all sides by a rich diversity of aquatic life. Themed to represent a journey from land to the darkest depths of the ocean, this largely interactive and educational facility is home to 250 different species from both surf and turf, native to the country and from farther afield. See colorful creatures in themed exhibits including a coral walk, electric zone, living fossils, and oceaniarium--and keep your eye out for sharks. • Aquarium is a nice palace to visit but tickets and activities bit of overpriced. It has an underwater tunnel which can be the best part. However, at the end they will be asking you to purchase souveni...  more »
  • There is a ton to see and do here. Lots of marine wildlife to explore and see. One of the better aquariums in Asia.  more »

  • If you're a nature (sea) lover, you will sure want to visit this attraction in the heart of KL, you can spend simply 2 to 3 hours here learning many facts about the ocean. It's a good activity to do with your family. Bonus - if you're a burger lover, you must try the FUEL SHACK located just at the eateries outside Aquaria's exit. Ask the staff if you cannot find the restaurant. And there are some downsides, 1. Many exhibits seems forced and cramped into a place. 2. They have a few different themed zones but very limited space. 3. More like a quick tour than take time to immerse and amaze yourself into wonders of oceans. For a better viewing experience, 1. Camera are allowed but flash are not. 2. You are not allowed to tap on the glass. 3. It's best to keep quiet during the visit, the fish love silence. And for the ROI, still worth it.
  • So packed on public holidays, you can only see the fishes, hardly you can read the education guide board/sign due to too many people but this is not the worse. The worse is the air-conditioning, it is so warm and stuffed. You hardly can breathe and just imagine the smell odor from the sweats? It is really really bad odor smell and hot AC. This is truly crazy, you charge expensively for the entrance, a family of six will easily cost closed to RM300 and we have to bear the unbearable odour & smell? With a lot of sweats perhaps.
